A Ghanaian man has shated his ordeal in an interview after a video of him been manhandled by a lady has since gone viral on the internet.

Per reports, the assualt happened on Thursday November, 20 at Nkawere in the Ashanti Region.

The 32-year-old man noted that the lady used to be his girlfriend for which they have been together for close to four months.

However, what led to the assault was as a result of the lady’s damaged phone which she pleaded with him to help her fix.

The victim stated he is a phone repairer so after the lady complained about her phone, he promised to buy a new phone for her. So on November 24, he directed her to his friend’s shop at Adum but she could not locate the friend’s shop since his phone was off. She felt betrayed and was very angry thinking it was a ploy to deceive her.

“Eventually, my friend caught me and took me to the girl so she could teach me a lesson. She doesn’t bear me often but this time, my own friends handed me over, and five guys held me back from fighting back. They even told her I buy phones for other women,” he said during the interview.

According to the victim, the woman is a food vendor at Tepa and she sometimes accused him of spending money on other women while giving her nothing.

The man revealed that he had only been intimate with the woman once after their encounter in Abuakwa, but the relationship rapidly deteriorated. He mentioned that despite his efforts to defend himself during the attack, a group of men held him back, allowing the woman to keep striking him.

He indicated that he is going to hospital for a checkup and has since reported the incident to police. He further alleged that one Mr. Ofori happened to be the main camera during the incident.

The police are yet to issue a public statement on the matter which has sparked public outrage.
