A Medical Doctor has refuted the assertion that men experience ‘blue balls’ when they do not engage in sexual activity after becoming aroused.

Dr. John Kanyiri Yambah, Medical Director of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), contended that this notion represents a fallacious tactic employed by men to manipulate young women into yielding to their unquenchable sexual appetites.

Speaking during a Testicular Health Awareness seminar, organized by the Department of Strategic Communication of the University, he noted that the concept of ‘blue balls’ lacks any basis in medical science.

He emphasized that it is a misconception lacking scientific validation, advising women to be wary of the manipulations of men.

In discussing the prolongation of an erection, he stated, “it only happens when blood circulates through the veins, and when the act either does not occur or takes place, it subsequently returns.”

“Consequently, it is a misrepresentation to assert that one experiences pain when abstaining from sexual activity despite feeling aroused. He stressed; “It serves as a tool for coercion.
