Telecommunication giant MTN Ghana has acknowledged a technical issue impacting data purchases, coinciding with the company’s commitment to introduce new data offers today, July 1, 2025, as previously announced by the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, and corroborated by MTN.
The company confirmed the technical issue in a notice issued admitting that the glitch has significantly affected data purchases and the anticipated 15 percent bonus expected to commence today.
The company stated in a Facebook post that the issue occurred during the execution of the revised bundle offers, preventing numerous people from purchasing their preferred data.
According to the telecom company, they apologise for the inconvenience that may have resulted from the disruption in the purchase of data bundles. They have indicated that their technical team is working diligently to restore services as soon as feasible.
