The National Service Authority (NSA) has officially declared October 8 as the actual date personnel due for their mandatory service can do their online registration for the 2025/2026 service year. The one-week exercise comes to an end on October 15, 2025.

The decision was arrived at after a forensic assessment that identified flaws in the system, leading to the suspension of the previous platform, The Central Service Management Platform (CSMP), in June.

To curb such errors, the Authority was tasked to create a more user-friendly, robust and transparent system to ensure security and real-time verification.

The Authority has instructed all prospective personnel who registered in June to re-register due to issues over data integrity, particularly age disparities, which have prompted the implementation of a new platform.

It noted that all applicants who took part in the June exercise will be reimbursed for their service fees.

Also, procedures on how to go about the new registration will be made available on the NSA new website www.gnsa.gov.gh, from Tuesday 7th October, 2025.

It additionally announced the execution of rigorous IT reforms and internal controls designed to combat payroll fraud and guarantee timely disbursement of allowances. The NSA stated it is collaborating closely with the Controller and Accountant General’s Department to enhance financial oversight and will also perform regular efficiency assessments.
