Pentecost University, located in Accra, has commenced the organization of online examinations for its student body, aligning with the government’s digitization initiative.

The move by the institution involves the implementation of CCTV cameras and additional technological devices. The plan was implemented during the second semester examinations in 2020/21 on September 16, 2021.

Rev. Prof. Kwabena Agyapong-Kodua, the Vice-Chancellor of the institution, stated that the digitization initiative encompasses not just online examinations and digital invigilation but also the comprehensive digitalization of all Pentvars operations.

“it will go a long way to enhance controls for the integrity of our examination processes and build the needed behavioural changes among students.” He added that, “technology when used appropriately can constrain unwanted behaviours and enhance the development of right attitudes to situations.”

According to the Head of Digital Services of Pentecost University, Mr. Emmanuel A. Agyekum, his outfit has well informed the student populace about the ongoing digitization initiative and there are advanced plans put in place to curb any unfortunate incident before, during and after exams at all examination centres.
