The National Service Scheme has released the pincodes for 132,393 National Service Personnel due for their mandatory service to the nation for the 2025/2026 year.

The National Service Scheme has released the pincodes for 132,393 National Service Personnel due for their mandatory service to the nation for the 2025/2026 year.

The pin codes were generated for students from 100 accredited tertiary institutions.

In a statement released on July 17, Felix Gyamfi, the Scheme’s Acting General Director, mentioned that the validation procedures had improved.

Mr. Gyamfi noted that there has been a decline in the figures compared to 2022/2023 figures attributing this to the scheme’s efficient and improved validation protocols and transparency.

The actual figures had an average decline of 26 percent.

“This approach has successfully eradicated all instances of exaggerated or fraudulent entries. This year’s results are, on average, 26% lower than those from the prior three years, with a maximum reduction of 36% compared to the 2022/2023 session,” the statement indicated.

The issued PINs are part of 135,990 submissions from 122 colleges and universities. But 3,597 entries from 22 unaccredited tertiary institutions were not included since the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) does not recognize these schools.

Mr Gyamfi emphasized that these unaccredited institutions have up to 30 days to regularise their accreditation status in order to get their graduates onto the scheme’s portal for placement.

He admonished candidates to reach out to the scheme through their support line if they are facing challenges accessing their pins.

Also, as part of a joint partnership with the Ghana Army, a selected number of personnel will participate in a six-week basic military training. The aim of this pilot phase is to evaluate the new project’s efficacy.

National Service Personnel who want to can sign up for this option when they register online. They will only get their agency postings after they are done with the military orientation.
