The Half Assini Divisional Police Command of the Ghana Police Service has arrested two individuals seen in a viral video beating a 12-year-old for allegedly stealing Ghs200.
The Police in a statement dated June 24th, disclosed that the two suspects, Imoro Issah 58 and Abdul Rashid 27 have been taken into custody to assist in investigations.
According to the report, the boy who was blamed for stealing the money was tied with a nylon rope and hanging on the roof of a building. He was severely beaten and tortured by the two adults.
The incident occurred in New Ankasa, near Elubo in the Western Region.
The minor has been treated at a medical facility and reunited with his father.
