The Ghana Police Service has revealed in a fresh update that 3 state-owned vehicles have been retrieved from the residence of former GIHOC Distilleries Managing Director, Maxwell Kofi Jumah

The Ghana Police Service has revealed in a fresh update that 3 state-owned vehicles have been retrieved from the residence of former GIHOC Distilleries Managing Director, Maxwell Kofi Jumah, after his arrest on Sunday June 29th, 2025.

According to a report from the Police, the arrest was effected after a formal complaint was received by GIHOC. Operatives from National Security visited his Kumasi residence and requested to speak with him which he agreed. However, they showed him an arrest warrant on their phone. He was later put in a pick up car and sent to the Ashanti Regional Police Command for interrogation.

He is presently being held at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service in Accra.

“It is true that Mr. Maxwell Kofi Jumah has been arrested. His arrest is as a result of a formal complaint filed against him by GIHOC Distilleries Company Limited”, Deputy Commissioner of Police Mrs. Yaa Donkor revealed during a press briefing.

“We are holding Maxwell Kofi Jumah at the CID headquarters and he is helping with investigations after we received a petition stating that he had stolen certain vehicles that belonged to that company.”

“I must state that as of today, we have recovered three vehicles; the aforementioned vehicles stolen by him have been retrieved. He is assisting us and we will proceed from there,” she continued.
