President John Dramani Mahama has sworn in 37 new High Court Judges at the Jubilee House on Thursday 23rd October, cautioning them to promote fairness in the discharge of their responsibilities.
Mahama encouraged the judges to uphold the rule of law without bias or favoritism, serve with honesty and integrity, and defend the rights of all Ghanaians.
He emphasized that the judiciary consistently establishes a remarkable benchmark in providing equal opportunities for women in leadership.
He observed that the latest judicial appointments, particularly to the Court of Appeal, demonstrated a commendable level of female representation. “Recently, we had the honor of swearing in Appeal Court judges, with a significant representation of women among them. Once more, I have witnessed a significant number of women in this group of High Court judges. Congratulations, and I encourage the esteemed executives present to follow your exemplary lead,” he added.
