A motivational story he shared on TikTok reveals the struggles he went through growing up in a remote village where there was no hope for him to achieve such a milestone in his life but thanks to God who has made his dreams become a reality.

Owusu Boakye popularly referred to as Amando is a talented footballer who gained attention on social media after showing interest in playing for Scottish side Livingston Football Club.

Despite his plea, the West Lothian side turned him down but that was not the end of his football journey.

Not giving up hope, He started a fan base for Aston Villa at his home town, Juaben, in the Ashanti region of Ghana known as the Ghana Lions.

His love for Aston Villa dates back to when he was a child. He recounted it was the dream of his grandfather to visit the Villa Park but such dream could not come to pass and he promised to fulfill that dream.

Amando shared some fond memories of his grandfather who spoke about the gospel of the club to him while he was a kid. Since then, his love for the club has grown massively.

The Fan club has the largest number of supporters an English team could have in Africa. He said in an interview that there are great football talents in his community but cited financial constraints as impediment for such talents to be recognized. And his dream is to raise funds to nurture such talents.

Amando has gained international recognition for his vibrant and engaging demeanor at each Aston Villa game. He got featured on the premier show, Fanzine.

Owusu Boakye’s love for the Birmingham side did not go unnoticed, leading to his appointed him as the ambassador for its fanbase in Africa. Prior to his ambassadorial appointment, the football club has been in contact with Amando sending him football kits such as jerseys and pips to be distributed among supporters of the club as a gesture of gratitude for their support.

There has been great improvement in the life of Amando since he inked the ambassadorial deal. Amando is on a mission to change the lives of the youngsters in his village.

He is a staunch member of the Seventh Day Adventist Chruch in Juaben, Ashanti region.
