A Senior lecturer at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Professor Amedeke, who was reported missing by his family has been found dead.

A Senior lecturer at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Professor Amedeke, who was reported missing by his family has been found dead.

The remains of his body were found buried within his own residence by unknown killers at Gyahadze, a suburb of Winneba in the Central Region of Ghana.

The police launched a search for him after receiving complaints from family members and concerned colleagues of the university leading to the discovery of his mortal remains on Friday May 17.

According to a report from the police, the murder of Professor Amedeke was linked to a robbery incident where he was attacked by his killers.

He tried to resist attempts by the robbers which led to his gruesome murder.

One person has been arrested assisting the police to uncover the whole truth about the unfortunate incident

After discovering the exact place he was buried, the police have exhumed and transferred his body to a health facility for preservation and autopsy to ascertain the definitive cause of his death.
