A Police woman has been taken into custody after taking the life of a taxi driver on Monday January 19.
A troubling video that has surfaced online depicts the scene following the incident, revealing the motionless body of the taxi driver slumped within his vehicle amidst a pool of blood.
According to reports, the incident took place at approximately 11:16 p.m. at the Tetegu area near Weija.
The video captured police officers whisking the accused person away.
According to preliminary investigations, the officer shot the driver after a brief confrontation.
The individual driving a Hyundai i10 taxi was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Police Hospital.
Further investigations revealed that the accused was hit when she tried to leave the scene sustaing injuries to her head and both legs and has been sent to the hospital for thd medical care.
Also, exhibits retrieved from the scene include one live 9mm round, a magazine, and one empty 9mm cartridge.
