A 16-year-old boy’s sudden and unannounced departure from home, accompanied by a note outlining circumstances prompting him to act, has caused his parents much distress.
Residents of Effiekuma in the Western Region of Ghana were left in shock following the sudden departure of the teenager as portion of the emotional parting message read, “You don’t love me, I cannot stay with you anymore.”
The incident happened on Sunday while the family was in church, according to his mother, Mama. A note explaining his thoughts and the reason he left home was left behind when they arrived.
“He was expected to accompany us to church, but he declined. We attended church and returned to find his absence. He left a note suggesting that we do not love him, however our affection for him is profound. We request the public’s assistance in locating him; we desire his safe return home,” his mother revealed during Connect FM’s Omanbapa Morning Show.
The family has formal reported the case to the police calling on well meaning Ghanaians to come to their aid and assist in locating the boy.
