James Holloman was linked to the crime after his spat outside his home last year matched the DNA test from the crime scene. The murder of Karen Taylor occurred many long years ago. The police suspected Holloman for the murder of Taylor because his paycheck was found at her home.

It has also been revealed by investigators that Taylor’s DNA from the time of her murder matches that of Holloman.. Officials disclosed that the DNA found beneath the victim’s fingernails, together with that of the sweatshirt and cigarette, is precisely the same as Holloman’s

This led to the arrest of Holloman who has no prior criminal history on September 19,2024. His next appearing is October, 29.

Defense Attorney, Anthony Ellison has rubbish the DNA assertion indicating Holloman’s spit was sampled and that is how they (police) claim to have match the results.

The Suffolk Superior Court handling Taylor’s murder case issued a warrant on Holloman and has been taken into custody by the Boston Police Department’s Fugitive Unit. But he pleaded not guilty in court on Friday.

Kevin Hayden, the Suffolk County District Attorne has lauded the professionalism of detectives indicating they use modern criminology skills in apprehending the suspect after so many years.

He added that is a good Job done by the investigative team and an opportunity for Taylors family that someone has finally taken responsibility of Taylor’s murder after so many of unanswered questions.

The 25-year-old Taylor was found dead in her apartment on May 27,1988. And according to autopsy, she was stabbed fifteen(15) times around the neck area.

Taylor’s death was disclosed by her 3-year-old daughter who picked a phone call and told grandmother her mother is asleep and she could not wake up her up, a statement from the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office said.

Taylor’s mother went to her apartment located at 37 Williams Street in Roxbury and she could not get inside. She has to force her way into the apartment through the window of the first floor bedroom. She found her daughter faced down lying in a pool of blood, the statement indicates.
