
The police has arrested Ghanaian blogger identified as Samuel Amedetor, the founder of DKlassGh.com.
Sammy was arrested for redistributing segments of Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ documentary, Number 12. His home was raided on November 14 at dawn by officers from the Signal Bureau.
According to reports, the officers transported the blogger in handcuffs to their headquarters, where he was interrogated with regards to the republishing of the said video.
He was released the same day at around 11:00 PM after he deleted the video and was directed to report at the Signal Bureau Tuesday on November 18 which he obliged.
Shortly after Sammy reported himself, he was detained and has not yet been released.
The documentary (Number 12) captured significant attention upon its release in 2018, revealing entrenched corruption within the Ghana Premier League and the Ghana Football Association (GFA). It notably implicated the then President of the Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi, for his comments regarding the sitting President at that time.
Ghana’s football operations underwent major modifications as a result of the documentary.
