Dr. Paa Kwesi Baido has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital KATH.
Dr. Baido is an orthopaedic surgeon and respected senior colleague in the Health fraternity. He currently works at KATH where he takes care of both the orthopaedic and trauma cases at the Department of Surgery.
In addition he teaches both medical students and residents
His appointment was communicated in a letter dated April 30,2025 signed by Dr Callistus Mahama, the Secretary to the President and addressed to the Minister of Health.
His appointment has received wide commendation from stakeholders including hospital staff at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital as a wide section of the general public considers his candidacy for the role as a good choice.
In the said letter, the necessary has to be taken to regularise the appointment in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Ghana Health Service and Teaching Hospitals Act 1996 (Act525) as amended.
