The news agency making the announcement noted on Wednesday November 13 that the platform which was formerly  Twitter now changed to X gave a lot of benefits. The agency noted Twitter was well regulated which is not so now.

The Guardian has 27 million followers on X.

According to The Guardian, contents being posted recently on X promote racism and  support conspiracy theories  pointing to the U.S presidential elections which took a particular pattern from the way it was being reported on the site.

The News organisation is of certainty that X is a toxic media platform which Elon Musk used to shape the political discourse of the elections.

Elon Musk has received criticism from a lot of individuals and organisations since he bought the micro-blogging website for $44 bn in 2022.

The Guardian however indicated X users would still be able share its articles across the platform and that posts on X would occasionally be embedded in its work as part of its live news reporting.

Despite the official account from Guardian exiting the platform, reporters are permitted to share newsworthy articles from the website on X.

Reacting to the announcement, Elon Musk clapped back at the news agency. According to him, the Guardian is a propaganda machinery and also irrelevant to the course of free speech.
