A divorce letter from Akosua Serwaa, the embattled wife of the late Highlife maestro Daddy Lumba, has come to light once more, reopening past grievances and prompting fresh discourse regarding the artist’s personal life.
The lawsuit, initially lodged in 2018 by Mercer & Company, delineates a narrative of profound emotional distress, feelings of betrayal, and purported mistreatment extending over several decades.
The communication, directed to Mr. Charles Kwadwo Fosuh, commonly referred to as Daddy Lumba, alleged that the esteemed highlife artist has abandoned his legally wedded spouse for another individual, notwithstanding their 34-year union and three offspring together.
Mrs. Akosua Fosu, spouse of the late Daddy Lumba, was represented by Mercer & Company in Ghana, as indicated in the letter, and also acted as co-counsel in Germany, where they both initially resided.
The letter further accused the late singer of boldly showcasing his sidechick to the world and posting her on social media as her wife knowing very well of the consequences of his actions.
Akosua Serwaa observed that she has found out the singer has 17 additional children beyond the 3 she has borne for him, and he fathered them with her close friends.
Despite the trauma, Serwaa said she had borne it all in the name of love and for the welfare of her children but could no longer remain silent.
The 2018 divorce notice emerged amidst a backdrop of widespread speculation regarding Daddy Lumba’s purported amorous affairs.
What seems to have rekindled popular interest is not just the lawsuit, but also Akosua’s assertion that the musician did not treat her deceased mother with respect.
Reports indicate that Lumba departed shortly after the burial, an action that seemingly infuriated Akosua, particularly upon discovering his continued infidelity with another lady.
