Students in various Senior High institutions have been admonished by the Ghana Education Service (GES) to desist from using social media in a bad way that can negatively impact their future.
The Service lamented the prevalence of unrefined conduct displayed by certain students on social media, which could impede their future prospects.
The Regional Director of Education, Dr. Juliette Duffie Otameh while speaking at a student forum organised on October 19, 2025 advised students to be more careful with what they share online which according to her has far more reaching consequences in the future.
“Prior to sharing any personal information, consider whether you will take pride in it tomorrow,” she stated.
She urged the students to consider if their online behavior reflects the values taught them by their parents and teachers if they would be happy when their guardians come across such contents online.
