Residents in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region have been thrown into a state of mourning following the heartbreaking news of Sister Yaa’s tragic murder at the hands of her boyfriend, Moses.

According to reports, the suspect who stays at Oboman in the Ga South Municipality visited the victim at her residence to spend some time with her.

The two had a misunderstanding which later resulted in the victim refusing to give in to Moses’ sexual demands.

Moses allegedly employed force to compel the victim, yet Yaa remained unyielding. In a fit of rage, he inflicted cutlass wounds on her, subsequently dragging her out and striking her head with a concrete block, killing her instantly.

Nai Achiene Acheampong Kuma, the Chief of Awutu Yamoah Nkwanta and Ogyahene of the Awutu Traditional Council, stated that he promptly reported the incident to the police, which resulted in the suspect’s arrest and subsequent transfer to the Ofaakor District Police Command.

The remains of the deceased have been transported to the morgue at the Police Hospital, as authorities work diligently to contact her family and advance their investigations.
