The Cedi is steadily improving in value relative to major foreign currencies after going through some difficult and challenging times.
On Tuesday May 6,2025, the average rates across some selected banks showed that the cedi is selling 13.82 to the US Dollar and the buying price is 13.32 to the Dollar.
The cedi was trading at 14.33 at the end of April, indicating a significant increase in the cedi’s value relative to the Dollar.
The British pound is being purchased at 18.13 and sold at 18.13 while the Euro is trading at 15.44 as the selling price and 15.42 as the buying price.
The Cedi steady growth in value has the tendency of building investor confidence and creating an enabling environment for local businesses to thrive.
Further, the improvement in the value of the cedi can be attributed to fiscal discipline and measures put in place by the Bank of Ghana to stabilize the economy.
